Meta Tags
Entering Meta Tags can help your search engine ranking.
To Edit Meta Tags
- When you add a new page you will be redirected to it automatically and can go to step 6.
Alternatively, follow steps 2 to 5. See Managing Pages.
- Select Manage Pages from the Website Pages menu in the Administration Toolbar at the top of the page.
- The Manage your club's custom pages window is displayed.
- Click the Edit button for the page that you wish to edit.
- You are redirected to the page.
- Click
the
Meta Tags tab.
- The Meta Tags for the page are displayed. Search
engines
use this data to help them to index your site.
- Enter
your meta data into the input boxes:
Keywords - Enter a
list of keywords that are relevant to the page. Each word or short
phrase should be separated by a comma.
Description - Enter
a short description of the page. This may be examined by search engines
as well as being returned on their results pages.
Custom Head
Content - If you are an experienced user, you can enter custom meta data fields here.
- When you have finished editing your meta
data, click the Save button to
save your changes.
